Program Philosophy
Player safety and character development are core principles of the SVYFL Tackle Football program. All coaches and team parents undergo comprehensive background checks.

Our coaches participate in nationally recognized football education programs, with training focused on proper tackling techniques, concussion awareness, heat illness prevention, and overall player safety.

At every practice and game, SVYFL emphasizes safe, disciplined play while teaching respect, teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship—helping our athletes grow both on and off the field.

What Equipment Is Provided?
SVYFL provides each tackle football player with the essential equipment needed for game day, including a helmet, shoulder pads, game jersey, and game pants with integrated pads. This helps ensure our athletes are properly equipped and ready to compete throughout the season.
Full Kit Inventory
Families are responsible for providing cleats, a mouthpiece, and practice jerseys and pants with integrated pads for practices and team activities. Players may also choose to use additional football accessories or protective equipment based on personal preference, but all other equipment is optional.

Competitive Tackle Football Through ACYAA
The Suntree Viera Youth Football League (SVYFL) Tackle Football program competes in the Atlantic Coast Youth Athletics Association (ACYAA), providing young athletes the opportunity to develop their skills in a competitive and supportive environment.
